Intro To Astrology-Through The Signs Classes Category: Healing/Healing Instruction Intro To Astrology-Through The Signs with Lynne Kormin Location: Braintree Dates: Sat 4/3/2010 Time: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM Cost $50 Early Registration Discount Cost $35 if preregister by March 30, 2010 Week I Through The Signs For Example:Aries Fiery independent, rash, blazing, gets the job done Astrology has been around since human civilization began. From the Greeks to the Mayans to the Hindus to the Egyptians, virtually every culture at one time has been convinced the movement of the stars through the sky affects our human behavior. In this four part lecture series we will explore just that. This is an introductory level class with advanced lectures following. We will begin with the constellations, the signs, and explore in depth how each sign functions in the world, its element, its strengths and weaknesses, starting with Aries, the first sign on April 3rd, which is conveniently smack dab in the middle of Aries. Every other Saturday for 4 alternating Saturdays we will look at another aspect of what makes a chart relevant and fascinating. In week two we will look at the houses and what each one represents in and of itself and on week three we will explore the planets and their riveting personalities. Finally, during week four we will tie it all together and look at the interaction between these three basic compnents of chartmaking. For example, what does Venus in the 7th house in Aries mean in your life? What is being spoken of astrologically when someone is described as fiery. It is akin to learning a new language. Think of it as map of your self, if you will, to refer to as needed. These are three hour lecture with a twenty minute break for snacking and chatting. Astrology has been around since human civilization began. From the Greeks to the Mayans to the Hindus to the Egyptians, virtually every culture at one time has been convinced the movement of the stars through the sky affects our human behavior. In this four part lecture series we will explore just that. This is an introductory level class with advanced lectures following. We will begin with the constellations, the signs, and explore in depth how each sign functions in the world, its element, its strengths and weaknesses, starting with Aries, the first sign on April 3rd, which is conveniently smack dab in the middle of Aries. Every other Saturday for 4 alternating Saturdays we will look at another aspect of what makes a chart relevant and fascinating. In week two we will look at the houses and what each one represents in and of itself and on week three we will explore the planets and their riveting personalities. Finally, during week four we will tie it all together and look at the interaction between these three basic compnents of chartmaking. For example, what does Venus in the 7th house in Aries mean in your life? What is being spoken of astrologically when someone is described as fiery. It is akin to learning a new language. Think of it as map of your self, if you will, to refer to as needed. These are three hour lecture with a twenty minute break for snacking and chatting. This system of magical glyphs and symbols possess many mystical properties that can be used to enhance one’s own use of magic. Through this class one will learn how to use the Runes as personal symbols of power, developing basic Runic skills that will aid in ritual work, spell casting, and candle magic. During the class one will learn how to create Bindrunes, Runic Scripts, develop the power of Inscribing, and learn how to use Runic inscriptions. We will be focusing on the Elder Futhark and the 24 runes contained in this alphabet. Each “seeker” will learn secret techniques that are taught to students in the coven: The Order of the Unified Circle. Boston or North of Braintree~ Take Route 3 South. Take the first Exit on Route 3 South (Braintree, Washing Street, Adams T-Station Exit). At the end of the exit, take a right onto Washing Street.
