| Fundraiser and Raffle For Michael Spender Special Events: Charity Event  Michael Spencer is a native of Braintree who, at the age of 17, has been diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. This type of cancer affects the bone as well as the soft tissue and is predominately found in male teenagers. Michael was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in his right shoulder on June 16, 2008. Since then, doctors have found that the cancer has spread from his shoulder to his entire backbone, skull, forearm, hip, pelvic bones, ribs and legs. Michael is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments at the Jimmy Fund Clinic with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.Many businesses have donated items for a raffle for him. Please open your hearts and donate $5.00. Your $5.00 donation will give you an opportunity to win one of many items listed here. 100% of all money raised through our raffle will go directly to Michael to assist with his living, medical and transportation costs.
